This model shows the constituent institutions of the State of Chile and the partner organizations, corresponding to knowledge-generating institutions and unions, of the Itrend corporation and their characterization in relation to disaster resilience. This characterization was carried out according to five areas that represent the mobilizing capacities of Itrend and its collaboration network:
Mobilizing capacity
We wanted to illustrate and facilitate the visualization of Itrend's mobilization and articulation capacity in the R&D+i+e ecosystem in disaster resilience, and its collaborative network through this model, available on Onodo.
- 1. number of research centers,
- 2. number of researchers and experts,
- 3. number of ANID projects,
- 4. amount of scientific production,
- 5. number of companies agglutinated in the case of trade unions.
This network concentrates a total of 316 researchers in disaster-related topics, 716 ANID projects (which represents 60.9% of the total number of universities in the country), and 75% of the total number of national master's and doctoral programs related to disasters. In addition, 638 companies of the national electricity coverage, 22 sanitary service companies and 85% of the country's insurance companies are included.
Among the sources of information used were: the web pages of each institution, databases of the projects awarded by ANID and their respective programs (1982-2020), Scopus databases of scientific publications (1960-2020), which were used to obtain papers, articles, books, conferences, and researchers and experts on the subject.
The Onodo platform is free and publicly accessible, developed by the Civio Citizen Foundation and Eurecat (2015), and funded by the European Union's Seventh Framework Program for Research, Technological Development and Demonstration.
