The iGOPP is a composite indicator developed by the IDB to measure and provide recommendations to countries, addressing governance in disaster risk management (DRM). This monitoring and evaluation tool was applied in Chile by the IDB in conjunction with Itrend. It contributes to strengthening the capacities of the State to promote the creation of economic and social value with a focus on resilience based on scientific and technological knowledge, research and dialogue with experts.
During its implementation, four sectoral workshops were also held to address together with industry, academia and the public sector, some of the main problems observed through this analysis. Here you can download the technical notes of each of these workshops, as well as a matrix with recommendations to improve the country's governance in this area.
